The Adams Heritage Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic provides outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy to the Monroeville community and others in the surrounding areas, including those who have just completed short-term rehabilitation but require additional outpatient therapy (PT, OT, speech) as follow-up. A convenient outpatient service offered right in Monroeville, our professional PT, OT and speech therapists are employed by Adams Health Network. Physical therapy focuses primarily on independent mobility, regaining strength and balance and using proper body mechanics and special techniques to better perform mobility tasks.
Occupational therapy promotes independence with such daily living activities as bathing, eating, dressing, self-care and home management tasks. Patients gain strength and coordination while learning the best techniques.
The goal of speech/language therapy is to increase functional communication, cognitive skills and safe swallowing practice by introducing diet modifications and special feeding techniques. Therapy may include muscle retraining, compensatory strategies and use of communication devices.
The Adams Heritage Outpatient Rehab Clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. To schedule an appointment, call 260-724-2134, ext. 11031. The clinic can be easily accessed by parking in the southeast parking lot behind the building. The back entrance leads directly into the Outpatient Rehab Clinic.
