PHYSICAL THERAPY
Physical therapy fosters each patient’s independence by focusing on functional mobility skills following injury or acute or chronic disease progression. Each individual is evaluated personally and treatment plans are developed that address deficits through customized interventions. Our Adams Heritage therapists have many years of experience and offer compassionate treatments, including:
- Orthopedic rehabilitation
- Ways to improve muscle function and coordination
- Programs to gain strength and help restore balance
- Exercises to increase mobility and sustain endurance

Achieve Independence in Activities of Daily Living
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Occupational therapists work with patients to achieve independence in activities of daily living. Therapists help patients refine their motor skills, hand and upper extremity function and bladder and bowel control. Adams Heritage occupational therapists have the experience and the expertise to improve daily living by:
- Offering help with the some of the most important activities of daily living (ADL), such as bathing, grooming and dressing
- Teaching residents how to adapt their behavior so they can be more confident and comfortable on their own
Improve Communication Skills Through Speech and Language Therapy
SPEECH THERAPY
Speech and language therapy helps patients to improve their speaking, problem solving, reading, writing and verbal expression and resolve problems with swallowing. At Adams Heritage, the following speech therapy services are offered:
- Word finding and verbal expression
- Speech production, focusing on improving ability to articulate words
- Voice/auditory comprehension
- Assistance with swallowing because of memory loss or dementia
